The Charlotte County Planning Commission held a Sept. 28, 2021 public hearing on two large utility-scale solar proposals. The commission found Tall Pines Solar (218 MW) and Randolph Solar (up to 800 MW) substantially in accord with the county comprehensive plan and forwarded findings to the Board of Supervisors; the Randolph vote included one abstention and one no vote.
