The California State Assembly Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials Committee met March 10 to consider four bills: a ban on bisphenols in thermal receipt paper (AB 1604), standards for returning to homes after wildland-urban-interface fires (AB 1642), coordination on copper antifouling boat paint rules (AB 1691), and a transparency label bill for reef-safe sunscreen claims (AB 1744). All four measures were moved out of committee.
