Benton County Committee of the Whole heard public comment and a lengthy presentation on a recently passed state law authorizing Industrial Development Authorities (IDAs); considered a resolution supporting poultry producers affected by litigation over the Illinois River watershed; and voted to refer an ordinance proposal to designate two highway segments as scenic corridors to the Quorum Court for three readings.
