Council read a proclamation, sponsored by multiple medical societies, declaring March 2026 Endometriosis Awareness Month in Talbot County and urging increased awareness, research funding, earlier diagnosis and treatment; the proclamation notes endometriosis currently has no known cure.
Talbot County Council held an open meeting addressing proclamations, a request from the state's attorney to raise and/or allow the council to set the state's attorney salary, creation of an Office of Community Partnerships to coordinate nonprofit services, several planning and land-preservation items (including MALPF ranking changes and water/sewer map amendments), routine county-manager business (a Habitat support letter and road-material bid awards), and public comment on sewer hookup costs.
