Walker County Commission met April 6, 2026, approved a series of contracts, leases and appointments unanimously, opened a public hearing on the county Solid Waste Management Plan with no public comments, authorized the chairman to review a vendor proposal for tax-collection services (NEUMO) and spent a large portion of the meeting debating county road funding and the limits of county revenue authority.
