The board voted unanimously to approve the proclamation, and commissioners and presenters posed for photographs after the vote.

In announcements, Yvette Jones invited the community to a town hall hosted by District 3 Commissioner Martin Raxton on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Douglasville. She also said applications are open for the 2026 Community Services Provider (CSP) program, which funds local nonprofit delivery of arts, culture, community development, and health and human services; the application period closes Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. and applications must be submitted to grants@douglascountyga.gov. The meeting concluded after the board approved the consent agenda and voted 5-0 to adjourn.
