Loading...
Summary
The Waupaca County Board on July 15 approved a comprehensive plan amendment and a zoning map change that reclassify a 3.03-acre parcel in the Town of Mukwa from Residential to Agriculture and to AWT zoning, following a July 3 public hearing and Planning & Zoning recommendation.
The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution on July 15 to amend the county’s Comprehensive Plan Map and approved a zoning map amendment for a parcel in the Town of Mukwa. The actions reclassify about 3.03 acres (parcel 15-22-23-5 along Dey Road) from Residential to Agriculture and change zoning from Rural Residential (RR) to Agriculture and Woodland Transition (AWT).
Supervisor Pete Bosquez moved to adopt Resolution No. 8 (2025–2026) to amend Ordinance No. 45’s map and Supervisor Ricky Ertl seconded the motion; the board approved the resolution 23-0. The zoning petition (Z-008-2025), filed by McFaul Family IR Trust and considered at a July 3 public hearing, was recommended for approval by the Planning & Zoning Committee; the county board enacted the zoning amendment (motion carried 22-0, one supervisor excused).
County materials state the proposed comprehensive plan amendment (PLUM-004-2025) is intended to accommodate a proposed future use of the parcel. The Planning & Zoning Committee and the Town of Mukwa found the change consistent with local planning goals and the town’s comprehensive plan.
The county clerk certified enactment and noted the ordinance will take effect in the Town of Mukwa upon filing a certified copy of the town board’s approving resolution or 40 days after county adoption unless a disapproving town resolution is filed within 10 days. No immediate conditions or restrictions beyond those in the county record were specified at the meeting.
The board’s approvals conclude the local review steps recorded in the county file; any subsequent land-use actions (permits or town-level approvals) will follow the county and town procedures.
