Commission delays formal approval of draft conservation plan to allow more review

Summary
After reviewing formatting and embedded maps, the Milford Conservation Commission agreed to give members another week or two to review the 80+ page conservation plan and to add versioning information before formal adoption.
Members of the Milford Conservation Commission agreed March 12 to delay formal adoption of the draft conservation plan to allow additional review of maps and formatting and to add explicit versioning in the document footer.
Commissioners said the plan has improved substantially in clarity and structure since earlier drafts, but several members requested more time to read the full 80‑page document and to confirm embedded map placement and update/version details. Committee member (S3) suggested a footer that lists the version date or vote date to prevent confusion over multiple revisions; Chair (S1) and others supported using the vote date (month and day) as the version identifier.
The commission will place the item on a future work session agenda (March 26 was discussed as a possible date) and asked members to send comments by a target review date so the document can be finalized for a public vote at a subsequent meeting.
